Adele has revealed her ex-boyfriend helped her become an adult.
The 22-year-old British singer is currently enjoying international success with her second studio album 21, which includes the spine-tingling ballad Someone Like You.
Adele has spoken in the past about how that song and others on the record have been inspired by a break-up from an unnamed ex-lover, and she admits that although the relationship was tough, it made her a more mature person.
"He was artistic, but not romantic. We'd just bicker [argue] over a cup of tea or the fact that my lighter wasn't working,” the songstress confided to Rolling Stone.
"[But] he made me an adult and put me on the road that I'm travelling on."
Adele also took the time to discuss her fellow pop stars, admitting that as much as she admires the likes of Lady Gaga she doesn’t put herself in the same league as them. The singer is proud to champion the voluptuous body type, and admits she considers there to be far more important things to worry about in life than looking perfect.
"I love seeing Lady Gaga’s boobs and bum and I love seeing Katy Perry's boobs and bum. Love it. But that's not what my music is about. I don't make music for eyes. I make music for ears,” she explained.
"My life is full of drama and I won't have time to worry about something as petty as what I look like.
"I don't like going to the gym. I like eating fine foods and drinking nice wine. Even If I had a really good figure, I don't think I'd get my t**s and ass out for no one."
